# Introduction

> What Matchr does and how it fits into your job search

Matchr scores your resume against any LinkedIn job posting the moment you open it, right in a Chrome side panel, no copying the job description anywhere. You get a match score, the specific reasons it's strong, the specific gaps holding it back, and suggestions for closing them.

## How it fits together

Matchr is two pieces that share one account:

* **The Chrome extension** does the moment-to-moment work: detecting the job posting you're looking at, running the match, and showing you the result in a side panel without leaving LinkedIn.
* **The web dashboard** at [matchr.in](https://matchr.in) is where you manage your account, review your full match history, switch between saved resumes, and run the resume optimizer.

Both read from the same resume and match history, so anything you do in one shows up in the other.
