# Switching between resumes

> Keep more than one resume on file and choose which one is active

Matchr doesn't limit you to a single resume. You can upload several, for different roles or industries, and choose which one is active for scoring.

## The resume switcher

In the side panel header, the dropdown next to your credits shows every resume you've uploaded, with your currently active one marked. To switch, just select a different one, no re-upload needed.

To add another resume, choose **+ Add new resume** from the same dropdown and pick a file.

<Note>
  Uploading a brand-new resume automatically makes it your active one. Switching between resumes you've already uploaded doesn't change what's active until you explicitly select one.
</Note>

## In the dashboard

The **Resumes** page in your [dashboard](https://matchr.in/dashboard/resumes) lists every resume you've saved, including any generated by the [resume optimizer](/optimizer/overview), with a marker showing which one is currently active and a link to download each one.
